Assistance Programs

Affordable health care options for uninsured & underinsured patients

We believe that everyone deserves access to quality health care, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we offer assistance programs to help families receive the medical care they need.

Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP)

What is it?

The Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) provides subsidized health care assistance for individuals and families without medical insurance or for those with high-deductible insurance plans. Through federal assistance, NAP ensures that patients can receive affordable healthcare at Beacon Christian Community Health Center.

Patients enrolled in NAP are charged one copay per visit for all services received that day. This copay is based on a sliding fee scale determined by household income.

What does it cover?

Patients enrolled in NAP can access a range of Beacon Christian Community Health Center services, including:

  • Annual checkups and sick visits
  • OB/GYN visits and testing
  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • Blood testing for anemia, cholesterol, and diabetes
  • Hospital visits by our staff physicians for registered patients at Staten Island University Hospital and Richmond University Medical Center
  • Affordable prescriptions at Walgreens Pharmacy with significantly reduced rates
  • 24/7 physician on-call availability
  • Certain lab and radiology tests at a reduced rate

Community Assistance Program (CAP)

What is it?

The Community Assistance Program (CAP) is designed for patients without medical insurance who do not qualify for NAP based on income. While there is no set fee per visit, our billing department will work with you to ensure your health care remains affordable.

What does it cover?

Patients enrolled in CAP can access essential healthcare services, including:

  • Annual checkups and sick visits
  • OB/GYN visits and testing
  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • In-house blood testing for anemia, cholesterol, and diabetes
  • Hospital visits for previously registered patients by our staff physicians at Staten Island University Hospital and Richmond University Medical Center
  • Affordable prescription medications at Walgreens Pharmacy
  • 24/7 physician on-call availability
  • Certain lab and radiology tests at a reduced rate
