Summer Missional Healthcare Mentorship

We provide medical students with an immersion experience in urban medical missions, allowing them to explore and apply health care from a Christian worldview.

Program Description

Participants engage in:

  • Shadowing clinical sessions with internists, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, and a podiatrist
  • Community outreach opportunities with our outreach team and local churches
  • Health education outreach to under-resourced populations
  • Dedicated didactic mentoring sessions on topics such as:
    • Applying God’s Word to faith, work, and calling
    • “How do we bring Jesus into the exam room? The hospital? The classroom?”
    • Addressing ethical issues in the public square
    • Personal spiritual accountability and resiliency-building

Cost & School Credit

The tuition is $985 ($500 of which is tax-deductible in support of Beacon Christian Community Health Center). This fee covers the program and meals. Students can receive school credit for completing this rotation at no extra cost.
